<p>This study assessed the level of critical thinking among 42 first-semester students during the 2025-I academic year. This research was non-experimental and quantitative, descriptive-comparative in nature, and cross-sectional in design. The instrument used was the Delgado Garay Critical Thinking Questionnaire (2025), which consists of 24 items grouped into six dimensions: analysis, inference, explanation, interpretation, self-regulation, and evaluation. The mean score was 68.51 (SD = 9.74), which is in the low-to-midrange relative to the scale norms for adults aged between 18 and 30 years of age (mean score = 77 points). Self-Regulation revealed the highest mean score (M = 14.21) whereas Interpretation had the lowest (M = 8.40). In terms of where they placed in these categories, 83.3 percent spelled “Low” and “Lower-Middle,” with no student landing at a high level. <p>This study assessed the level of mastery of hard skills among forty-eight first-semester college students during the period from August to December 2025. Using a quantitative approach and a cross-sectional diagnostic-descriptive design, the sections of the Transversal Competencies Questionnaire were adapted using Behavior Observation Scales. The statistical outcomes indicated a global low to average performance expressed by an overall weighted mean of 2.18. Assessment of technical problem solving revealed the most severe deficiency, with a mean of 1.85, indicating marked difficulty identifying and sequencing logical responses to errors. However, the lack of appropriate basic computer skills only reaches 2.41 point score (maximum: 5 points) was also regarded the highlight rated competent level among deficient aspects and this only to changes as far as basic operation. Furthermore, the analysis by gender showed no significant gaps in instrumental performance. <p>This research analyzes the competencies in hard digital skills of first-year students at a Mexican public university, based on the assumption that use of technological devices in context alone is not sufficient to provide students with the necessary resources for competent academic performance within virtual learning environments. Using a psychometric tool administered to a pilot group of thirty-two students, the authors report an acting gap: communication through social networks and instant messaging channels receives strong scores; tasks with structured reasoning debugging logical errors, initiating tasks on institutional assessment platforms, generating original metadata collapse low or critically-low. This finding challenges the oft-cited stereotype of the digital native, is a student who promiscuously and popularly (but certainly informally) uses technology, showing us that informal comfort with technology and formal technical expertise are differentiated from each other domains practices that do not transfer into one another. The study does not find any gender-related differences, so while it identifies the problem of insufficient higher-order understanding and proficiency as a serious one facing the upper-secondary graduates in México today it characterises that issue as a broad, structural one rather than an individual or isolated shortcoming. <p>El ambiente educacional y las oportunidades de empleo de un estudiante de un instituto tecnológico al egresar de su carrera, son de gran importancia para el futuro profesional de la persona. Esta investigación ha sido titulada “Ambiente Educacional y Oportunidades de Empleo de Estudiantes de Nivel Superior de las Áreas de Ingeniería y Ciencias Económica-Administrativas” en el Municipio de Ahome, Sinaloa”, presenta resultados cuantitativos y cualitativos donde se han recabado los datos a través de una encuesta a 163 estudiantes de las carreras de Ingeniería Electrónica, Ingeniería Electromecánica, Ingeniería Electrónica y Contabilidad Pública de una misma institución de nivel superior tecnológico y pública del municipio de Ahome, en el estado de Sinaloa. La misa encuesta señala que en área de ingeniería más del 90% de los estudiantes perciben un ambiente escolar bueno que tiende a lo excelente y en la carrera de contabilidad más del 64% de los alumnos encuestados piensan lo mismo, más del 70% de los alumnos de ingeniería se sienten motivados por su profesores y 62% de los alumnos de contabilidad pública se sienten motivados por sus profesores, pero lo más interesante es que más del 72% de los alumnos de ingeniería y más del 60% de los alumnos de contabilidad piensan que al egresar se presentarán buenas oportunidades de empleo. El trabajo a futuro para esta investigación es realizar un seguimiento de los alumnos que egresan de dichas carreras con el objetivo de conocer los alcances que tienen sus expectativas, basadas en la hipótesis de esta investigación y en la bibliografía presente.</p>Mónica Rosario Lizárraga Ontiveros Orlando Serrano Verdugo

<p>Las plataformas de streaming han transformado el ecosistema audiovisual y las dinámicas de consumo, redefiniendo la relación entre algoritmos, audiencias y nuevos modelos de comunicación. El presente estudio analiza, mediante la revisión sistemática de literatura en Redalyc, Scopus, Latinex y Google Académico, el estado de las investigaciones que analizan dicha relación, identificando los enfoques predominantes y examinando cómo se conceptualiza dicha fragmentación en el entorno digital. La investigación se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cualitativo a nivel exploratorio-descriptivo y correlacional. De un total de 2000 fuentes, se seleccionaron 23 artículos y, tras aplicar el Instrumento de Collin con 13 criterios de calidad metodológica, se valoraron 13 para el estudio final. Posteriormente, los datos se procesaron con Minitab. Los resultados obtenidos indican que las plataformas en streaming han transformado el modelo tradicional de comunicación masiva, ya que ofrecen contenido especializado, acceso inmediato y bajo demanda, con comunicación bidireccional y participativa por parte del usuario, quien toma un rol activo, con nichos de consumo definidos por edad, intereses y hábitos culturales. Así, los algoritmos regulan el acceso a la información, orientan el consumo y favorecen la fragmentación de audiencias. Al mismo tiempo, el usuario se vuelve un sujeto activo que no sólo consume, sino que recomienda, comparte y evalúa contenidos. <p>El presente artículo analiza el papel del liderazgo humanista como catalizador para la construcción de la justicia social en el contexto de la educación superior tecnológica, particularmente desde el Instituto Tecnológico de Huejutla, a partir de la implementación del nuevo Modelo Educativo del Tecnológico Nacional de México (TecNM) denominado "Humanismo para la Justicia Social". A través de una revisión teórica que integra los aportes de Viktor Frankl, Carl Rogers y Stephen Covey, se examina cómo los principios humanistas se traducen en prácticas de liderazgo al interior de la institución educativa. El estudio se enriquece con el análisis de proyectos y programas comunitarios representativos del Instituto Tecnológico de Huejutla, ubicado en la región de la Huasteca hidalguense, que ilustran la aproximación al desarrollo comunitario desde una perspectiva humanista. <p>This paper verifies a simple linear regression prediction model, whose function is to predict in advance the monthly number of new customers of an institution. This verification uses the institution's full five-year historical monthly customer growth data. The tools used to verify the reliability of the model are the commonly used Excel, and the professional statistical software Minitab 19. The specific verification method is analysis of variance, which is the ANOVA mentioned in studies. After the verification, the model draws a clear conclusion: the correlation between the passage of time and customer growth is very high. The three statistical values supporting this conclusion are the coefficient of determination R²=0.8094, the F-value=246.37, and the p-value≈0. <p>This article presents an analysis of wait times in the university cafeteria using ProModel. The simulation shows that even when the cafeteria’s capacity demand is met (in this case, with 75% efficiency and no customer abandonment), the distribution of time within a single resource provider can operate inefficiently. Customers wait an average of nearly 12 minutes to receive a service that takes 9 minutes and 306 seconds longer than it should, which lowers their assessment of service quality.</p> <p>The researchers used the SERVQUAL framework to determine that the issue was not a lack of resources, but rather a misalignment between peak demand and service supply. Instead of hiring more employees, their recommendation is to implement flexible scheduling with the current workforce during peak hours.
