Peer review process
At NEYART, we are committed to the highest quality and fair recognition of our authors' work. To achieve this, all submissions to our journal undergo a rigorous, specialized, and anonymous peer review process before publication.
Rigorous Selection: The Editorial Board is responsible for selecting the papers that will be evaluated. Those that do not meet the minimum publication requirements will be rejected, while others may be suggested for improvements and resubmission.
Double-Blind Peer Review: The evaluation of papers is conducted using a double-blind method, ensuring confidentiality for both authors and reviewers. The Open Journal Systems infrastructure and anonymity practices by all involved in the process guarantee the impartiality of the assessment.
Expert Reviewers: Reviewers, or peer reviewers, are carefully selected by the Editorial Board based on their expertise in the research area of the paper to be evaluated. In most cases (95%), reviewers are external to the journal, providing a fresh and impartial perspective. Each reviewer has a four-week deadline to complete their evaluation.
Dedicated Platform: Reviewers have a platform where they register and receive assignments of papers. Once a review is accepted, they can access the paper and the online review form, which is tailored to the type of work in question.

The rigorous and transparent peer review process we implement ensures that only papers that meet the highest standards are published, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and the fair recognition of our authors' work.
GUIDELINES FOR REVIEWERS
For any additional guidance, NEYART specifically follows the guidelines provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for the peer review process. This applies to ethical guidelines for reviewing, potential manipulations of the peer review process, and considerations to take into account when being appointed as a reviewer.
