Abstract

Nowadays, there is a great interest in developing alternative methods to obtain and store energy, which leads to improve or design environmentally friendly, low-cost and non-toxic methods. The objective of this work is to show a bibliographic review on the different techniques for synthesis and obtaining nanostructured materials and thin films, as well as to analyze the optimal materials to be applied in energy storage and conversion. As a result of this review, some of the most used methods for the synthesis of thin films and nanostructures are listed, as well as the materials that are currently synthesized for their application in energy storage and conversion.
