Purposeful leadership: Humanism as a strategy to transform communities from the institutions of Tecnológico Nacional de México

This article analyzes the role of humanistic leadership as a catalyst for the construction of social justice in the context of technological higher education, particularly from the Instituto Tecnológico de Huejutla, based on the implementation of the new Educational Model of the National Technological Institute of Mexico (Tecnológico Nacional de México, TecNM)) called "Humanism for Social Justice". Through a theoretical review that integrates the contributions of Viktor Frankl, Carl Rogers and Stephen Covey, it examines how humanistic principles translate into leadership practices within the educational institution. The study is enriched by the analysis of representative community projects and programs of the Instituto Tecnológico de Huejutla, located in the Huasteca region of Hidalgo, which illustrate the approach to community development from a humanistic perspective. Factors that enhance humanistic leadership are identified, along with challenges and lessons learned, concluding with recommendations aimed at strengthening the social impact of the institution in its region of influence.
